Annie Patterson
Realtor, Licensed in VA
Annie is a Minnesota native who graduated with a degree in Theatre from Saint Mary’s College, in South Bend, Indiana. She moved to the DC Metropolitan area in 1982 to work on Capitol Hill with the personal staff of Senator Dave Durenberger. She moved on to the staff of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee and then to a small lobbying firm in Georgetown. Annie credits these years as giving her a solid foundation in the art of collegial negotiation, a skill she regularly draws upon in her real estate career.
In addition to her background in government, Annie worked with religious non-profits for nearly 15 years with her focus applied to the areas of communication, marketing, event planning, and administration. When the time came to make a career change, real estate very quickly became the obvious choice. She received her license in 2015 and was named Rookie of the Year at her brokerage. Since then, she has consistently been among the top producers and has served on the Agent Leadership Council. She also serves on the Standard Forms Committee with the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors.
Annie loves working with people and excels at creative problem solving. Whether helping sellers strategically prepare and market their homes or working with buyers to successfully navigate the purchasing process, she views each as an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.
Annie has lived in Northern Virginia since 1986, and in the Camelot neighborhood of Annandale since 1992. Her two grown children are married and have begun raising their own families. Annie enjoys time with family and friends, playing Mahjong, and sneaking away to her lake home.
